Valentine’s massacre

An “historic” event some may not know or may have forgotten about that certain date.

February 14th. Many people only think of one thing when mentioning that date, which is Valentine’s Day, to most people it’s known as the day you give teddies, flowers and chocolate to your loved one. And there is actually another cause that happened on that day, a massacre. A gang war between two rivals, Al Capone & Bugs Moran.

Bugs Moran was a criminal, who ran the North Side gang in Chicago during the bootlegging era of the 1920s & Al Capone was smuggling and trafficking operations.

In the late 1920s, Chicago was split between two rival gangs: one led by Al Capone and the other by Bugs Moran, both who tried for years to kill each other. He (Capone) ordered that Moran’s gang be destroyed. On February 14, dressed as police officers they entered and lined up 7 of Moran’s men and shot them to death.
