Finished this amazing trilogy in 4 days, literally. I got it on the 18th and finished it yesterday on the 22end. I could not find the strength in me to put it away, it was thrilling and so much happened that I HAD to know how it would go, how it would end. It’s addictive and capivates your full attention from the very first page and first lines.
Now, as perfectly gorgeous I made the male main character in my head, I didn’t fall for him as hard as I did with other “book boyfriends” such a Gideon Cross, Kellan Kyle or even Travis Maddox. I just simply couldn’t trust Hudson Pierce by the end of it. No matter how hard he later on tried to prove his feelings and love for Alayna, I just couldn’t. I have now ordered HUDSON, the story from his point of view, which I’m already going nuts for, I LOVE books from the guys point of view, so I can’t wait to read it and plus I might end up changing my image about him, might end up falling for him, who knows. Because I need more explanation from his side, answers. They give you a little on this one, but it wasn’t enough.
As I said it was a capivating story, thrilling and sexy as hell. Only one mini flaw though, I felt it needed more details and descriptions of looks, ESPECIALLY of the main woman, Alayna. Throughout the two first books, all I gathered about her looks was that she had long brown hair, a nice rack and flat stomach. Maybe I missed something, I don’t know, but it wasn’t until almost the end of the third book that Hudson mentioned her brown eyes. So I still haven’t been able to get a clear picture in my head, hopefully that’ll change when I read HUDSON.
Besides that, I still strongly recommend it, it also had some parts where I sat in shock when reading, like what the hell is she thinking? And then just ended up somewhere beetween laughing and having my jaw dropped! I loved it! <3
“Stalking and restraining orders are a thing of Alayna Wither’s past. With her MBA newly in hand, she has her future figured out—move up at the nightclub she works at and stay away from any guy who might trigger her obsessive love disorder. A perfect plan.
But what Alayna didn’t figure on is Hudson Pierce, the new owner of the nightclub. He’s smart, rich, and gorgeous—the kind of guy Alayna knows to stay away from if she wants to keep her past tendencies in check. Except, Hudson’s fixed his sights on her. He wants her in his bed and makes no secret of it.
Avoiding him isn’t an option after he offers a business proposition she can’t turn down and she’s drawn further into his universe, unable to resist his gravitational pull. When she learns Hudson has a dark history of his own, she realizes too late that she’s fallen for the worst man she could possibly get involved with. Or maybe their less than ideal pasts give them an opportunity to heal each other and finally find the love their lives have been missing“ –Goodreads
